Join Mona in the fight against breast cancer
One of our own New Lawrenceville networkers is racing for the cure! Please support Mona Johnson as she takes an amazing journey in the fight to end breast cancer! The Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Net proceeds from the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure™ are invested in breast cancer research and community programs.
She is taking this challenge in honor of MANY great women like her grandmother Dorothy Bennett, who she never had the pleasure of meeting, due to this disease, and many other family members. She also walk for many brave SURVIVORS, her aunt JoAnn Bennett as well as 2 very good friends, Dionne Ferris and Maria Hale.
Thanks so much for your support and encouragement! Check out her link below to sponsor her fight!

Silent Auction – Fundraiser for Austin Maddox
This is a local fundraiser for a very worthy and important cause. Monique Germaine Miller’s 22 year old son has been diagnosed with a rare fatal heart condition.
The hospital requires a minimum of $160,000 just to put Austin on a wait list for a heart transplant. Without the transplant Austin’s chances of survival are next to none.
Please join us at Olde Towne Tavern for a silent auction to help raise funds for Austin’s transplant!
We are requesting a $20 donation to attend. Everyone will be responsible for your own food & beverage.
Please come out and show your support for Monique and her family!! Invite everyone on your Facebook friends list!

Gwinnett Federal Credit Union raises $2,500 for Relay for Life
Author: Katie Sweeney
Lawrenceville, GA – Gwinnett Federal Credit Union members were tickled pink to win a basket full of pink “treasures”. The annual pink basket raffle has become a member favorite. Gwinnett Federal staffers donated enough items to fill eight large baskets. Since every branch had a different basket filled with pink “treasures”, some members purchased tickets at more than one branch. This basket raffle helped to collect over $2,500 (surpassing last year’s fundraiser) for the Gwinnett County Relay for Life program during the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer awareness campaign.
Employees and members raise money year-round with various fund raising events, culminating in Gwinnett County’s Relay for Life. Since 2001, Gwinnett FCU has raised $84,000 and donated thousands of employee volunteer hours to Relay for Life.
